Surname Notes On This Page

In household 37, the enumerator wrote the surname as 'Geroux', a suggested alternative surname is 'Giroux'. The person suggesting the alternative surname provided this comment: 'Theletter "i" is pronounced "ee" in french like in the word "knee". That explain why the transcriber "Alice Garner" wrote "e" like in "Jesus". This is my girlfrend's great-great-parents family.'.
