I kind of think this may be Samual Lamont. Came to Canada in 1906, lived at Griswold, Man. till 1908 (can`t find him in 1906 in Man.). I think it could easily end in ont. There could be an m - 2nd hump fainter. (note added by: manderson123ster@gmail.com)
I agree with you Lois, To get a z in this word one would have to use the C in McCrea below. Shall keep my eyes open for possible match, but as he came in 1906 will likely have no luck (note added by: manderson123ster@gmail.com)
